What is new in the computer world these days? That is a question I asked myself many times a day. In my case, the question is: what is new in the computer world these hours? The sad truth is that I am a news junkie.
On a daily basis, I read or fast-read about 10 to 15 websites and some of them multiple times a day. It includes Digg, Slashdot, the Inquirer, The Register, Coding Horror, Metafilter, Tom’s Hardware, AnandTech, nV News, Blue’s News, The Real News and many others. I cannot seem to get enough news some days.
That is how I try to stay in touch with the new trends and the news in general. I do not subscribe to any magazine but I sometime stop by the magazine dealer to have a quick look at Wired and the likes.
What is even more sad is that I cannot keep up with the amount of information available. I would have to focus on one specific field like software development, gaming or science.
My will to follow the news is bigger than my capacity to do it. If you have solutions for my problem, let me know.
